Pizza e Birra is located next to Toko in the posh part of Surry Hills.
The menu is quite simple, mainly focusing more on their pizzas variations.
They serve authentic Italian pizzas since it appears that everyone that works there are Italian complete with the heavy Italian accents :D
The restaurant serves the foods quickly so they can do more table turnovers I suppose.
But I do wonder if that's the reason the service is a hit and miss on the night we dine.
The waiter who took our orders is very friendly, yet the others are borderline rude.
Thankfully the foods were great !
Drinks
Arancini - Parmigiana risotto balls with bolognese sauce, crumbed & lightly fried
Caprese Salad - Vine ripened tomato salad w/ buffalo mozarella, balsamic reduction & extra virgin olive oil.
Caprese Salad - Vine ripened tomato salad w/ buffalo mozarella, balsamic reduction & extra virgin olive oil.
The arancini has nice flavours and the best thing of course - DEEP FRIED !
Then we balanced it off with some refreshing Caprese Salad.
Speck - Mozarella, cherry tomatoes, speck, provola, truffle oil & parmesan
Salsiccle e Porcini - Tomato, mozarella, pork sausage, porcini mushroom
The pizzas were excellent ! The crusts are thin and there is just the right amount of toppings.
Not to mention the flavour combinations are just right too.
